About Us
RHCI is the only facility providing comprehensive, hospital-level rehabilitation on Cape Cod. RHCI serves the Cape, Islands, South Shore and Southcoast regions.
Our physicians and staff are uniquely qualified to help people with disabling illness and injury regain function and independence, return home and improve quality of life.
Our patients benefit from expert care and exceptional caring. Last year, 82% of our patients were able to return home after completing their rehabilitation program. For the remainder (patients who needed an extended recovery period or return to an acute care hospital), RHCI arranged for their transfer to the appropriate level of care.
Our convenient location allows families to visit and assume supportive roles throughout the rehabilitation process.
RHCI provides comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation for adults and teens. Our staff cares for approximately 1100 inpatients per year.
RHCI also provides general and specialty outpatient programs for adults and children at the main campus in Sandwich. In addition, satellite outpatient centers in Bourne, Yarmouth, Orleans and a pediatric rehabilitation center in Sandwich bring our therapy and physician expertise to residents through the Cape and Southeastern Massachusetts.
RHCI is a 60-bed, not-for-profit, specialty hospital located on 44 acres of woodlands in historic Sandwich, MA.
RHCI is affiliated with Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, one of the nation's leading rehabilitation institutions. RHCI is also a member of Partners HealthCare System, which was founded by Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
