Free lecture by Jay Rosenfeld, MD, and Jeff Skeiber, MSPT, MBA, will be offered at the Plymouth Public Library, 132 South Street. Members of the public as well as healthcare professionals are invited to attend.
March 24
David Lowell, MD, Neurologist and Medical Director of RHCI, will join Emad Eskandar, MD, Neurosurgeon from Massachusetts General Hospital, to present current medical/therapeutic and surgical options for individuals with Parkinson's disease, including Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS).
March 30
Therapist Dawn Lucier, PT, who coordinates RHCI's Parkinson's Wellness Program, will discuss how a rehabilitation team can help individuals with PD improve both function and independence, with special focus on the many benefits of exercise. Diane Bloom, SLP, speech and language pathologist at RHCI-Plymouth, will discuss the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment as an effective therapy that improves oral communication in people with Parkinson's.
