Volunteering
An RHCI Volunteer is a special person who wishes to contribute time, interest or talent to support RHCI and its patients. Many of our volunteers have taken on this important role as a result of a personal experience with RHCI. They understand the importance of RHCI's mission and wish to be a part of our extended family.
RHCI Volunteers make a tremendous difference in the daily operations of RHCI and in the lives of our patients. Volunteers have the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, contribute to the community, and to become part of RHCI's family. Hours and days are flexible. We offer a variety of opportunities to suit your needs. If you have specific skills and experience not listed below, we will try to find or create an opportunity to match your interest.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Entertainment Volunteer: Musical talent? Magic? Are you a singer, piano player, story teller? Entertainment Volunteer provides cultural enrichment and entertainment for the patients during meals and or special functions. Hours are varied.
- Volunteer Greeter/Gift Cart: Greets and directs visitors as they enter the Hospital. Assists in the daily operation and maintenance of the Gift Cart located in the lobby.
- Clerical Support Volunteer: Assists various offices with clerical support duties. Requires some knowledge of typing, computers, filing and general office skills. RHCI will provide training in certain areas.
- Volunteer Crafter: Individuals with a creative flair who can make dried floral arrangements and other gift items for the Gift Cart.
