
Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation
RHCI provides comprehensive rehabilitation for individuals with spinal cord injuries. The goals of rehabilitation are to ensure optimal physical, emotional and social adjustment following a spinal cord injury, to maximize functional independence, and to improve quality of life.
Program components include:

Individualized, outcome-oriented treatment plan

Bowel and bladder training programs

Skin care education and management

Supportive resources that assist with the emotional adjustment to spinal cord injury

Coordinated, intensive therapies to promote maximum functional improvement

Nutrition education and counseling

Specialty resources, ordered by the patient’s physician as appropriate, including on-site swallowing studies, home safety evaluation, Assistive Technologies Clinic, Brace Clinic, community re-integration activities, etc.

Patient-centered discharge planning, including follow-up outpatient care and links to community resources
