Stroke Peer Visitation Program
Are you a recent stroke survivor or a family member? Are you overwhelmed with all the changes and unsure of what to expect?
The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands’ Stroke Peer Visitation Program matches specially trained volunteer stroke survivors and caregivers with recent stroke survivors and their families. These highly dedicated volunteers come to the home to provide support, information, resources and share their first-hand experiences about living with the effects of stroke. They can help those just beginning the journey of stroke recovery feel more hopeful about the future. For news release, click here.
