
Women's Rehabilitation Program
The Women’s Rehabilitation Program promotes women’s optimal function, independence and adjustment to the normal physiological changes that occur throughout the lifespan. It also includes therapy and education programs to help women reach their maximum functional ability in the face of debilitating diseases and conditions.
Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, including Urinary Incontinence
- Exercises to strengthen muscles of pelvic floor
- Multiple therapeutic modalities, including: ultrasound, massage, biofeedback
- Pelvic joint mobilization
- Improve function and enhance quality of life

Fibromyalgia Management and Education
(Also available to male patients)
- Group program for newly diagnosed patients or those with mild to moderate fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia affects mostly women; however, men with the condition are welcome to join the program.
- 3-week program; participants meet Tuesday and Thursday, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
- Instruction in an individual aquatic and land exercise program for improving flexibility, strength and endurance
- Postural education for decreasing the intensity of symptoms during the day and proper sleeping positions at night
- Instruction in time and stress management techniques
- Introduction to relaxation techniques, including: visualization, breathing techniques, etc.
- Optional Life Skills Management Assessment with RHCI Psychologist.

Osteoporosis Management and Education
(Also available to male patients)
- Progressive resistance exercise training
- Conditioning program to promote flexibility, balance, endurance and strengthening
- Education for patient (and family, if desired), stressing prevention of falls and injury, management of disease
- Pain management
- Postural education and body mechanics training to prevent injuries
