Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physicians

Jay Rosenfeld, MD, is a physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry) and Pain Management.  He attended Boston University School of Medicine, interned at Tufts University Medical School in Boston, and was Chief Resident at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.  Dr. Rosenfeld joined RHCI when the hospital opened in 1995 and served as its first medical director.  He is board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as Pain Medicine.  Since changing to an outpatient practice several years ago, Dr. Rosenfeld has pursued advanced training in the treatment of back and neck pain.   His interests include acute and chronic spine pain, complex orthopedic and neurologic conditions such as spasticity, joint pain, degenerative conditions, and post-stroke rehabilitation.  He is a resident of Duxbury.

Dr. Rosenfeld will soon begin seeing patients at RHCI-Plymouth.  In the meantime, he is seeing patients at his Sandwich and Orleans offices.  For an appointment please call (508) 833-4160.

Andrew L. Judelson, M.D., is a Physiatrist on staff in Sandwich and Orleans.  He attended University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, interned at University of Connecticut Internal Medicine Residency Program, and was Chief Resident at Harvard Medical School, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston.  Dr. Judelson is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.  His interests include General rehabilitation. Musculoskeletal injuries, cardiac rehabilitation, wound management/treatment, myofascial pain and trigger point injections, osteoporosis treatment and prevention, sports medicine, particularly diagnosis and treatment of concussion, and the role of exercise in disease prevention.  He is a resident of Sandwich.

Site Manager

Debbie Downey, PTA, is Site Manager for RHCI-Orleans.  Debbie received a B.S. in Physical Education/Sports Medicine from Westfield State College in 1984, an Assoc. as a Physical Therapy Assistant in 1984, and MEd in Rehabilitation Counseling from Springfield College in 1992. She is the Site Manager of the RHCI Orleans satellite. Debbie has 21 years of clinical experience and has been with RHCI for 5 years.  Debbie specializes in ergonomics, orthopedics and carries out physical therapists’ plan of care including MFR, vestibular, and balance treatments. She has coached high school softball, youth basketball and is an avid golfer, kayaker and softball player.

 

Therapy Staff

Jennifer Avery, PT, MS:  Jennifer earned her M.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island in 1996. She has 14 years clinical experience and has been with RHCI for 6 years. Jennifer specializes in orthopedics, especially knees and shoulders and has special interest in breast cancer rehabilitation.
   
Brittany Blazek, DPT: Brittany received a B.S. in Rehabilitation Science from Northeastern University in 2009 and her doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010. With special interests in orthopedics, sports injuries and aquatherapy, Brittany helped conduct a research project using Wii Fit to improve patients' balance.  An avid runner who competes in half-marathons, Brittany has volunteered at the Boston Marathon's medical tent as well for YMCA Boston's childhood obesity program.
   
  Lori Finn, PT:  Lori received her B.S. in Physical Therapy at the University of Vermont. Lori has 13 years of clinical experience and has been with RHCI for 7 years. She specializes in treating urinary incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction, general orthopedics, spine diagnoses, and vestibular dysfunction. Lori is an APTA credentialed clinical instructor. She has experience as an inpatient/outpatient brace/orthotics clinic manager and is a previous RHCI Yarmouth Site Manager.
   
Jen Hardigan, PTA:  Jen received her B.S. in Exercise Science from UMASS Amherst in 1995 and her Assoc. as a Physical Therapy Assistant from Lasell College in 1999. Jen has been practicing since 1999 and joined RHCI since 2003. She specializes in orthopedic diagnoses including shoulder, hip, knee and ankle disorders, in addition to fitness and health. She is trained on the Bioness L300 and works with the Back in the Swing adaptive golf clinics.
   
Lee LaCroix, M.S., CCC-SLP:  Lee received M.S. in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Rhode Island. Lee has over 17 years of clinical experience and has been with RHCI for 8 years. She is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Training and specializes in adult neurological speech language pathology, such as stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, and traumatic brain injury.
   
Kristin Marston, OTR/L, CHT:  Kristin holds a B.S. in Occupational Therapy from Boston University since 1985. She has over 20 years of clinical experience and has been with RHCI for 8 years. She specializes in diagnoses of the hands and upper extremity, neuro and stroke, and performs evaluations for RHCI’s roadSMART Program. She is NDT certified and is a Certified Hand Therapist. Kristin is also trained in the use of Bioness H200 and Saeboflex.
   
Heather Merrill, MSPT:  Heather earned her B.S. in 1998 and M.S. in 2000 in Physical Therapy from Simmons College. She has 11 years clinical experience and has been with RHCI for 3 years. Heather specializes in general orthopedics and has trained in early intervention and an exercise approach to lower back pain. She is a runner, teaches aerobics and has volunteered with the Special Olympics for several years. Heather appreciates the 1:1 patient care at RHCI, which she feels is rare for outpatient care.
   
Janet Mitchell, PTA:  Janet earned her Assoc. as a Physical Therapy Assistant from Cape Cod Community College in 1997. She has 12 years clinical experience and has been with RHCI for 10 years. Janet specializes in orthopedic diagnoses, including total knee replacements and shoulder disorders. She carries out physical therapists’ plan of care including MFR, and balance treatments. In particular, Janet enjoys working with the geriatric population.
   
Christie Pavlu, MSPT:  Christie received her B.S. in Health Science in 2002 and M.S. in Physical Therapy in 2003 from the University of New England. She has 7 years clinical experience and has been with RHCI for 4 years. Christie specializes in treating orthopedic diagnoses and youth athletes. Christie works within our BITS Program and is an avid golfer and runner.
   
Dorian Robinson, PT:  Dorian earned her B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of New England. She has 20 years clinical experience and has been with RHCI for 4 years. Dorian specializes in diagnoses of the lumbar spine and has begun training in women’s health diagnoses to support the lead clinician.   Dorian is a runner and has competed in triathlons.
   
Molly Wright, MOT, OTR/L, CHT:  Molly received her B.A. from Bowdoin College in 1991 and a Masters in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 1995. Molly has 16 years of clinical experience and has been with Spaulding for 7 years. She specializes in diagnoses of the hands and upper extremity including splinting. She is a Certified Hand Therapist and is Saeboflex and Bioness H200 trained.
