RHCI provides outpatient physical, occupational, speech and aquatic therapy, plus specialty programs and clinics, for individuals who have rehabilitation needs as a result of an illness, injury or surgery. In most cases, you will need a referral from your physician to receive outpatient rehabilitation services. Referrals and/or recommendations for therapy may also be made by hospital discharge planners, home care agencies and school systems.

If your insurance provider is an HMO, you will need to obtain your primary care physician's authorization for therapy prior to the start of therapy.

Patients who have Medicare and other non-HMO insurances will need a referral with a prescription for therapy from their primary care or specialty physician.

If you feel you would benefit from outpatient rehabilitation but do not have a physician, one of RHCI's rehabilitation physicians can evaluate you and, if appropriate, prescribe therapy services for you.
