General Rehabilitation Services

  • Physical therapy:   To improve posture, balance, mobility, strength and endurance
  • Occupational therapy:  To improve upper body function, fine motor skills, skills for activities of daily living
  • Sensory integration therapy:  To help children accept and process information through the senses
  • Speech-language therapy:  To improve speech, language, memory, auditory processing, feeding and oral motor skills, communication, thinking and organizing (cognitive) abilities

  • Collaborative pediatric team approach
  • Caregiver education
  • Home activity program

Services Offered at the RHCI Hospital Campus:

  • Aquatic therapy: To provide an alternative therapeutic environment to maximize the patient's progress.

  • Audiology: Hearing evaluations, hearing aides, Central Auditory Processing Assessments.

Referrals may be made by a physician, school, Early Intervention, home-care agency or the patient’s family.
