
Fit To Be Kids
Pediatric/Adolescent Weight Management Program
Fit To Be Kids is designed to improve the health status of children and adolescents experiencing, or at risk for, health problems due to excess weight and inactivity. A registered dietitian, physical therapy assistant and licensed clinical social worker conduct the multi-disciplinary program. Designed for kids from 6 to 14 years of age, Fit To Be Kids sessions (grouped by age) are held in the early evening, twice a week for eight weeks.

Indoor and outdoor activities to help promote an active lifestyle

Nutrition education for child and family

Counseling to promote behavioral and lifestyle changes and provide support

Ongoing assessment of the child’s emotional and social adjustment
Fit To Be Kids is a self-pay program. Some insurance carriers may cover a portion of the fee. It is the responsibility of participating families to consult with their own insurance carriers.
Referrals can be made by a pediatrician or specialist, school nurse, family member or friend. Participants must be able to engage in the exercise portion of the program.
